Logo/Symbol Meaning

During the Spring of 2016, the idea of redesigning the GIAIA logo was voted on by the board for the redesign of the association logo. Once the new logo was approved by the board, the new logo was released before the Fall 2016 conference. Board members: Jason Ellis (design), Cliff Tackett, Bob Bolton, and Ricky Myrick worked together to bring this idea from paper to polo shirts.

The following is the meaning behind specific pieces which make up the GIAIA logo/symbol:

The Sword: symbolizes power, protection, authority, strength, and courage. Metaphysically, it represents the penetrating power of the intellect.

The Torch: Symbol of enlightenment, light, truth, life, peace, unity, and the regenerative power of flame.

The Flag/State of Georgia Outline: Symbolizes our allegiance to our State, her Constitution, and to all her citizens/people.
