First off-
Thanks to everyone that came to our Spring Conference. We think it was a great success. Hopefully everyone enjoyed the training and took some time to network with each other.
Retired FBI Agent Lisa Skinner is confirmed for the Fall conference. The training topic will be Statement Analysis. For those of you that have received training from Lisa, you know she is a great instructor and has a wealth of knowledge.

It is a profound honor to address you today as we continue our shared and vital mission. The work you do is among the most challenging and necessary in all of law enforcement and public service. It is a task that demands impartiality, confidentiality, and an unwavering commitment to the truth, and I am continually impressed by your professionalism.
Our association exists to serve you, the dedicated investigators who ensure accountability and uphold the ethical standards of our profession. Your work provides a critical function by protecting the integrity of our departments, restoring public confidence, and safeguarding the rights of all individuals involved.
The pursuit of justice, whether external or internal, is not easy. We often investigate individuals we know and respect. Yet, our resolve to be fair, thorough, and objective must never falter. It is this dedication that reinforces the credibility of our agencies and strengthens the trust of the communities we serve.
In the coming year, our priorities are clear:
Enhancing Professional Standards: We will work to develop and advocate for best practices in internal investigations, ensuring consistency and fairness across all agencies.
Providing Exceptional Training: Through our two annual conferences and year-round resources, we will deliver the most up-to-date training on emerging trends, case law, and investigative techniques.
Strengthening Our Network: We will expand opportunities for investigators to connect, share insights, and support one another, fostering a strong and collaborative professional community.
The challenges we face are complex, but the path forward is guided by our core values: integrity, accountability, and the pursuit of truth. Our association is stronger because of your commitment to these principles. I urge you to continue your work with honor and to lean on this organization for the resources and support you need.
Thank you for your service and your dedication. I look forward to working together to advance our profession and uphold the public’s trust.
Sincerely,
Mark A. Adair
